PEP CARES
The way we can support our own,
through hard times, one gift at a time…
Learn more about the fund or how to apply for assistance below.
What is PEP CARES?
The PEP CARES Fund is The Putnam Education Partnership Foundation’s (or PEP Foundation) *NEW* Employee Assistance Fund for Putnam County School System Employees. The fund was established to provide limited financial assistance to Putnam County School System employees experiencing a temporary hardship due to an unexpected significant life event.
Why was this fund created?
We know that teachers and PCSS employees are some of the most giving in the community. The PEP CARES fund was created for us to assist our own in times of need. When something happens to a co-worker, those in their department or buildings are usually the first to pitch in and help. The fund's goal is to ensure that regardless of which department you work for or school, there is help in critical times of need. We want to have an avenue to serve those who serve our students everyday!
Who is the fund for, and how can someone apply?
Any full-time or part-time PCSS employee experiencing temporary financial hardship can apply for assistance through the PEP CARES fund. The application link can be found below, or you can contact PCSS HR (Amy Hall, amy.hall@pcsstn.com) if you need a paper copy or assistance completing the form.
How and When will PEP Cares be available?
The fund will be made possible through employee giving and public donations to the PEP CARES line item through the PEP Foundation. To help us get the fund off the ground, the PEP Foundation’s board of directors has appropriated seed money. This means we can serve a limited number of cases until the fund bank is built, but it is on us, as a school community, to keep it going and help our fellow co-workers.
What can employees do to help?
We hope that employees will consider investing in their fellow employees experiencing hardships by making a recurring donation to the fund. You will have the option to give monthly, quarterly, yearly, or one-time. You can learn more about how to give by visiting the link peptn.org/pep-cares. We will also be adding the link to our pcsstn.com website.
We hope you will partner with us to our school family by supporting and donating to PEP CARES by giving TODAY!
